Biography...
From the depths of Santa Cruz, California,
Stellar Corpses have not only become a local favorite but also
an internationally recognized Psychobilly / Horror Punk act.
They have been on several major US tours a huge European tour
spanning across 11 different countries.
In 2007, the band released a 6 song EP entitled "Respect
The Dead" through Hairball8 Records which received rave
reviews and will go on to be a new classic. They've also just
released a highly anticipated, brand new full-length album entitled
"Welcome To The Nightmare" on German label Fiendforce
Records. This new album has a wide variety of pulse pounding,
nerve damaging new material that is already catching fire across
the globe. Truly something for every fan.
Their main goal with the new album was to make sure that it
would represent their wide range of musical styles. What they
ended up with is a diverse 13 song monster with a strong Psychobilly
backbone. However, unlike many of the psycho/horror bands these
days, Stellar Corpses doesn’t limit themselves to one
musical style. This album encompasses the bands many influences
including Horror Punk, Punk Rock, Hardcore, Death Rock, Country
and Metal. It definitely shows their individuality as a band.
Stellar Corpses music and live show appeals to the young and
old generations alike. They bridge boundaries between musical
genres to create something completely fresh and new. And although
they have a hard edge, they aren’t afraid to show their
sensitive side. Their music builds upon the foundation laid
by their predecessors, and brings with it a brand new look at
how to have fun and survive in this fucked up world.
After devastating hundreds of shows all over the world and playing
shows with major bands including Mad Sin, Demented Are Go, The
Meteors, The Creepshow, The Quakes, The Phenomenauts and Gorgeous
Frankenstein, Stellar Corpses continues to bring all of their
signature madness and neck-breaking energy in every aspect of
the music scene and business with no intentions to die.
With dedication, drive, a distinct image, and plenty of talent,
these boys continue to win the hearts of anyone in their range
of demographics including fans of The Misfits, Tiger Army, Social
Distortion, Bad Religion, AFI, and The Damned.
STELLAR CORPSES continue to gain momentum day by day. Their
live shows have become a spectacle to see, enjoyed by fans far
and wide. Shredding guitars, thundering bass and drums, haunting
melodies…what’s not to love?
